1st Annual Spaghetti Scrumdown a HUGE success!

We could not be more proud of our players, their families, the community, sponsors and our extended rugby family! Together we packed the McKinley Eagles with 350+ supporters on Saturday March 16, 2019 for our first annual Spaghetti Scrumdown.

We raffled off 39 baskets, custom cornhole boards, a kitchen aid mixer, and a 5 gallon jug of candy...as well as 7 silent auction items. In addition, our 50/50 raffle brought in $1,030 for the Dan Sturtz Memorial Scholarship Fund! When we set out to plan this fundraiser, our goal was 200 attendees and $5,000.00 raised. We nearly doubled our attendance goal and came super close to doubling our financial goal. We are truly humbled!

The raised funds will help cover stadium rental costs, indoor practice rental costs, equipment, high school social costs, advertisement in school publications, players banquet meals, etc. Our growing club will also be able to secure indoor practice time for next season, allowing us to plan ahead and advertise the schedules in hopes of attracting new players.

It's important to recognize that our success would not have been possible without our sponsors - all whom are listed here on our sponsors page. Many are local small businesses, so please consider checking out what they can do for you by clicking on their logos and visiting their websites!

Thank you again for your support. We hope that you all enjoyed yourselves and are planning to attend next year as well!
